Following a very successful inaugural event last year I have arranged another Quiz Night at the 19th Hole at the RAC Club in Epsom on the above date. Once again I have acquired the services of Graham Bishop who organises the very successful Quiz Nights which the RAC runs for all its members.
The evening will start with a reception at 6.30pm. At around 7.00pm the room will be split into teams of 8. Members can either organise their own groups and/or we will put teams of 8 together. Team size has to be pretty strict otherwise it becomes unfair.
At around 8.15pm a buffet style meal will be served comprising:-
Spiced parsnip and apple soup
Roast Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
Coffee and cocktail mince pies
(The RAC have not finalised their Menus for the winter yet but I am advised the above should be available.)
The price for the evening including half a bottle of wine per person, prizes and Graham’s Fee will be £41 per person. Dress is smart casual but no jeans!!
After dinner the quiz will continue with a finishing time somewhere around 11.00pm. Graham is a really good Quiz Master/Organiser and makes them really good fun. He can adjust the level of difficulty and I will suggest a median standard so that everyone can join in and have a fulfilling evening. We may even have a few political questions so that the aficionados can show off!
A slip is attached for completion and return to David Collins the Club Secretary and I do hope that Members will support this newish event in our calendar.
