We were very pleased to see so many of our members at our AGM in March. It was a record turn out! We were also thrilled that both our current MP and President Chris Grayling MP and the recently selected parliamentary candidate Mhairi Fraser both spoke with fluency and clarity giving their respective views: Chris on the national political scene and Mhairi on her local conservative campaign.
The evening also gave us the opportunity to say a huge thank you to Steve Whiteway for his time and service as our Chairman. He has been such a tremendous support to the club, especially during the challenging period of lockdown and we are all very grateful to him for everything that he has done. He won’t be leaving us, I am pleased to say, as he will continue to serve on the committee. Also leaving our committee is Edward McGuinness and Bill Slade. They will be much missed but they have been replaced by two brilliant members: Alan Gibbs and Tina Mountain.
