THE 1964 CLUB QUIZ NIGHT THURSDAY 21stnd NOVEMBER 2019
Following four very successful events which I started during my period as Chairman of your Club, the committee has asked me to arrange another Quiz Night at the 19th Hole at the RAC Club in Epsom on the above date. Once again I have acquired the services of Graham Bishop who organises the very successful Quiz Nights which the RAC runs for its own members.
The evening will start with a reception at 6.30pm. At around 7.00pm the room will be split into teams of 8. Members can either organise their own groups and/or we will put teams of 8 together. Team size has to be pretty strict otherwise it becomes unfair.
At around 8.15pm a buffet style meal will be served comprising:-
Spiced parsnip and apple soup
Roast Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
Coffee and cocktail mince pies
The price for the evening including half a bottle of wine per person, prizes and Graham’s Fee will be £42.50 per person. Free soft drinks with Dinner will be available for those who do not drink alcohol but would you please order these from the bar. All “non dinner drinks” are for the account of the individual. Dress is smart casual but no jeans!!
After dinner the quiz will continue with a finishing time somewhere around 11.00pm. Graham is a really good Quiz Master/Organiser and makes the occasion really good fun. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces but also new members who have joined since last year.
A slip is attached for completion and returns to David Collins the Club Secretary and I do hope that Members will support this event which has become quite well established in the Club’s calendar.
